Excuse me

I am sorry, I have been rather relaxed as of late. My journeys have slowed me down and currently, I've been staying with a friend in Stormwind. I've found plenty of quiet time here in the city of the humans. I do love to fish in the waterways of the city. I often hear of a legendary beast that travels them. I haven't had a chance to see it yet, but I'm told it's a giant crocolisk. Very fearful!

Once I have completed my long hiatus in the city of the humans, I will continue the chronicling of my journeys. Please be patient with me!

Shael'dryn the dryad

ShaelToday I met a Dryad by the name of Shael'dryn. After helping Raene Wolfrunner find her friend Teronis, Raene pointed me her way so that I could possibly follow the research that Teronis was doing. I will not let Teronis be forgotten.

Shael'dryn is a rather entertaining creature, and rather playful. With all seriousness I was sent out to to find a wooden key in order to unlock a chest which holds an iron rod, the first part of the Dartol's Rod of Transformation. The wooden key however is in possession of some corrupted treants, and unfortunately I'll have to battle them to find it. It saddens me to fight them, however, they are corrupted and crazed and probably will never turn back to the good of the forest.

With a heavy heart, I battled a few treants and finally managed to retrieve the key. Unlocking the chest, I found the iron rod and returned to Shael'dryn. She then instructed that I will have to find the iron pommel that last of the pieces of Dartol's Rod of Transformation. Apparently the Druids of Dor'danil had it in their possession, however, according to Teronis' research, and with the help of some ale and drinking with a dwarf, we suspect that the chest containing the pommel may have been devoured by a rotting slime which are frequently found near the Dor'danil Barrows.

After destroying countless slimes, I finally found a chest inside one of them! It was a truly exciting time. I could not believe my eyes, and I opened the chest and found the iron pommel inside! I quickly transformed to ghost wolf and returned to Shael'dryn.

She was able to reconstruct the Rod with the glowing gem, the iron pommel and iron shaft. All that was left was to charge the Rod itself. She told me of a shrine not very far from her location that would contain the power to charge it. So traveling out and avoiding bears, I went to find the shrine. Shael'dryn's idea that it wasn't too far was either a joke or too literal. Since the shrine was in the mountains I certainly could not go straight there. Instead, after traversing many different paths, I finally found the shrine within the now hollow trunk of a tree. A rather perfect area to keep a shrine of magic power.

After charging the rod, I could feel the magic pulsating throughout it and brought it back to Shael'dryn. Jumping with joy, she told me to go back to Raene Wolfrunner, to better see what should be done with the staff. Of course, at that point, I already knew that I had to find Krolg, one of the few uncorrupted furbolgs of the Foulweald. Through him we should be able to unite the tribes of furbolg and the alliance.

So now, I journey to Lake Mystral to find Krolg. Wish me luck.

A momentous day

Ghost Wolf
Today, I have gained the knowledge to shapeshift into a Ghost Wolf. This is a truly momentous day, because becoming the ghost wolf not only has elevated my status in the world, it also allows me to travel like a wolf, covering more ground much faster than my normal Draenei form.

It also seems that my services have been requested by Aqueous, a great water elemental found in the northern shores of Bloodmyst Isle. This is a very good time to prove myself and perhaps get a great reward. I'm very anxious to get there. For now I'm stopping by Blood Watch to rest a bit.

Oh joy

It's always so pleasant that when I'm looting a bear, expecting bear meat, or a perhaps even a claw, I instead manage to get a "Rotting Bear Carcass".

How smart are these other adventurers?

So today while questing on various quests in Darkshore, I did manage to encounter a rather "slow" adventurer. I have to wonder if they actually took the time to listen to any quest givers. For the quest Bashal'Aran, I distinctly remember hearing "The ruins of Bashal'Aran to the east..." to which this one adventurer had no idea where to go. Come on, I believe navigation and knowing which way is east/west/north/south would be a requirement for adventuring.

I was told today by a comrade after relating this story to her, "We increase the IQ of the world just by questing out in the world." I have to agree.

Welcome

Draenei My name is Thari. I'm a Draenei Shaman. You may be wondering why I'm here. First off, I would like to welcome to my journal. This is a journal of my adventures in Azeroth. If you'd like to join me, please let me know. Feel free to contact me at anytime. You can meet in the world of Azeroth (Server:Lothar), or you may contact me at this site.

I've just recently moved over to the Darkshore, setting up camp in Auberdine. I was previously in Blood Watch, completing quests there, however, I was getting bored of the area, and decided to broaden my horizons, and see the world after I was sent off to Auberdine.
